Businessman's kidnappers demanded P20 million -- police

MANILA, Philippines -- The five slain abductors of
Las Pinas-based businessman had demanded
P20 million for his safe release, police said today.
In a press briefing, Senior Superintendent Leonardo Espina,
PACER, an anti-kidnap group, said the kidnappers of
Julian Rodriguez had earlier demanded
P20 million. Police operatives killed five kidnap suspects
during a raid on a safehouse in Urdaneta, Pangasinan last Sunday.
One of the suspects yielded an AFP identification card bearing
the name of TSgt. Dionisio Obillo while the others were identified
as Roger Matias, Marcial Fontanilla, and Rosendo Matias. -
